AAVE

Aave

Aave (AAVE) is a DeFi protocol launched in 2017 that allows lending and borrowing cryptocurrencies without intermediaries, through smart contracts. Initially named ETHLend, it became Aave in 2018, symbolising transparency and openness.

· WHY HOLD AAVE? ·

  • Decentralised lending and borrowing: earn interest or borrow by providing collateral.
  • Flash Loans: instant, collateral-free loans, repayable within the same transaction.
  • Community governance: AAVE holders take part in decisions through decentralised votes.

· KEY PARTNERSHIPS AND DRIVING FACTORS ·

  • Balancer (December 2024): integration with Balancer V3 to optimise liquidity, boosting the token by +40%.
  • GHO stablecoin (July 2023): Aave launches GHO to strengthen its ecosystem and decentralised lending.
  • Exit from Polygon (December 2024): citing security concerns, Aave considers abandoning the network after tensions over bridged stablecoins.

· GROWTH POTENTIAL ·

Aave has become a pillar of DeFi thanks to decentralised lending and the adoption of GHO.

Its partnerships and influence strengthen its role, with greater potential should regulation become more favourable.
