Cryptos
Narratives in crypto are the equivalent of sectors on the stock market.
Just as stocks are grouped by sector (technology, finance, automotive, etc.), cryptocurrencies fall into different categories according to their use case and innovation: DeFi, NFT, AI, Layer 2…
These narratives shape the market, each crypto moving within a trend that affects its adoption and valuation.
Understanding these dynamics allows for a more strategic and informed approach to investing.

Narratives in cryptocurrencies
A narrative is a key trend that shapes investor decisions and the evolution of the crypto market.
It rests on a mix of technological innovation, economic opportunity and marketing strategy, steering capital flows and the valuation of projects.
In crypto, a narrative works like sectors on the stock market: just as stocks are grouped into categories (technology, finance, automotive, etc.), cryptos belong to different narratives depending on their use and the trends behind them (DeFi, NFT, AI, Layer 2…).
A well-built narrative makes the market clearer, more accessible and easier to understand for everyone. It reinforces the message and makes it possible to anticipate trends while identifying promising projects.
Beyond the opportunities of the moment, these trends are reshaping the future of cryptocurrencies.

The “Other” category is a more flexible space in the portfolio, for cryptocurrencies that don’t fit a precise narrative but are still of strategic interest, whether for the quality of their project or for short/medium-term market opportunities.
It keeps the portfolio dynamic and able to adapt to fast-moving market changes.

Stablecoin
USDT OR USDC
Stablecoins play a key role in a portfolio, even though they’re often underestimated.
Pegged to a stable fiat currency (USD, EUR), they offer an alternative to volatile cryptos while enabling fast transactions, accessible at any time.
· WHY HOLD THEM? ·
- Responsiveness to the market: they allow immediate investing during a “red day” or on an opportunity, without waiting for a bank deposit.
- Optimised capital management: some prefer to convert their entire capital into crypto from the start, but thanks to Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA), stablecoins allow gradual investing without being exposed to volatility.
- An alternative to bank accounts: most platforms don’t let you hold euros or dollars directly, ready to be invested. Exceptions such as Revolut X do offer this option.
· A TOOL, NOT A TRANSITION ·
Stablecoins are not just a transitional tool: they optimise risk management and investment flexibility.
Crypto trading platforms rely heavily on stablecoins to ensure liquidity and facilitate transactions. Unlike fiat currencies (USD, EUR), which are subject to banking restrictions and processing delays, stablecoins enable smooth, instant trading.
